Golf Tips – The Set-Up Position

Every experienced golfer has a good set-up position. This is one of the basics often overlooked. The swing is built from the set-up position.

A good set-up posture guarantees the proper stance and placement of the feet, allowing for the perfect balance during your swing. The best golfers maintain balance from the moment they focus on the ball to the end of their swing. Your stability will make certain that contact with the ball is made in the middle of the clubface consistently.

A good set-up also gives you the ability to control the direction of your shot with power. The major elements in the pre swing; ball position and body alignment – creates the conditions that permit you to take control. Your body alignment will completely determine the arc and angle of your club during the swing.

Don’t forget that a good set-up puts you in a position of advantage, so make sure to make it with good impact in mind.
