Golf Tips – The Swing (Part 1)

Most golfers would tell you that the game of golf is one of the most difficult games to play and master. It’s so complicated and demanding that even golf champs have their off days.

This is probably the reason why a lot of highly skilled and experienced golfers back once in a while and employ the use of some basic tools to improve their skills. Let’s look at one of those tools – the swing aids. These could really improve your game and they actually work for the most part. Wouldn’t it be nice to swing like a pro?

The basics are ingrained into every golfers system: “don’t lift your head”, “keep your arms straight”, and “turn your hips” share the common goal of making your golf club come through the down swing and hit the ball with the club face in the correct point to drive it in the trajectory you envisioned – straight down the green.

Like they all say; when all else fails, go back to basics. It’s true, so do your best to keep the front arm straight to make your shot as true as possible. With your eye on the ball, don’t raise your head but maintain a proper chin elevation so your shoulders could rotate to provide more power. Don’t stoop over the ball, keep your back straight and bend a bit forward at the hips. Bend your knees slightly, just enough to be noticed.

The key point as you make the swing is the follow through. A large part of the follow through will come from the hips – they should rotate until your belt buckle is pointing at your target’s direction.
