Senior Golfers Play to Socialize
Local golf courses around the country regard senior golfers as their “bread-and-butter”. These golfers, having grown up children with families of their own, and usually retired from their respective professions have more free time than their younger counterparts. Thus, senior golfers in a group play more rounds of this game and have more fun than the average golfer.
A lot of these seniors, mostly with their spouses play above all, for social reasons. The golf industry has been obligated to accommodate these golfers and they are becoming increasingly “senior friendly” in order to compete for the senior golfer’s business.
Generally, seniors know their limitations and will play a more intelligent game than younger golfers. Bringing their experience and intimate knowledge of the course into play more than compensates for the loss of yards on the tee off.
